Iran declares boycott on Coca Cola, Intel and the “Zionists”
You just gotta love Iranian head honcho President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Last week he signed a new amendment to a law in the Islamic Republic that forbids the airing of advertisements for “Zionist companies”. The blacklist of prohibited companies comprise mostly US copanies that operate branches in Israel.
Among those on the list are Coca Cola, Nestle, Intel and IBM.
The amendment obligates a number of government ministries to establish a committee to identify and locate products from “Zionist” companies that are sold in Iran.
Just imagine. For the sake of protecting the average Iranian citizen from the horrors and cruelty of the “Zionist infidels” , they are going to be banned from the greatest beach ball ads from Coca Cola, the smooth creamy taste of the newest Nestle chocolates and the newest and fastest PC on the market.
Good job Mr President. A real step forward in moving your people forward!
